Exton British Academy provides bespoke, live online tuition for children aged 5–11, wherever in the world your family lives. Each lesson is thoughtfully planned around your child’s age, current level, learning needs and individual goals.
Our UK-qualified teachers have many years’ experience in UK schools and at leading British international schools, including Dulwich College Shanghai and Doha College, Qatar. We teach the skills that underpin success across the curriculum: confident reading, clear and accurate writing, articulate speaking and listening, and secure mathematical understanding. We also offer homework help and 11+ preparation from Year 4 through Year 5, so children are fully ready to sit the exam in the Autumn Term of Year 6.
Just as importantly, we create a kind and welcoming learning environment where children feel supported and confident to take part. Parents can be assured that their children are guided with care, professionalism and high academic expectations.

Meet your teachers
I have 16 years of British Curriculum experience, having taught both in UK schools and internationally, including Dulwich College, Shanghai and Doha College, Qatar. I have been Head of Year at both schools, leading year groups of up to 200 children. I am an accomplished Grade 8 pianist and enjoy competing in endurance triathlons.
I have 13 years of British Curriculum experience and, like Martin, have taught both in the UK and internationally, including Dulwich College, Shanghai and Doha College, Qatar. I have a passion for phonics, literacy and developing early reading and I am currently a Deputy Headteacher at a leading British prep school in Devon, England. I am a qualified advanced scuba diver and I love hiking in the mountains.
Both tutors are DBS-checked and hold recognised UK teaching qualifications.

Following an initial discussion, lessons are planned around your child’s current level, learning needs and personal goals, whether that is ongoing development, targeted support with a particular skill, or preparation for school assessments, the 11+ and British school entry.

How lessons work
One-to-one tuition provides fully personalised support. Alternatively, your child may learn alongside a sibling or friend of a similar age and ability. Shared lessons for two to four children offer a more affordable option while developing confidence, communication and collaborative learning skills. We will confirm that children are suitably matched before shared lessons begin.
